If you talk to another person long enough, they will say something that will “push your buttons” – when that happens, scan your physical sensations – and take a breath, wait a few seconds, in order to give your self time to respond, not react. Just taking the few seconds to do a body scan and not react immediately makes a huge difference. They are not the issue – your reaction to what they are saying is the issue.

I agree with you Klattu, intention is the key – without the proper intention, even an action that may in fact be good, (like feeding the homeless) may not be the right one, if the person is doing it to bring fame or glory to himself. I think one of the keys is lack of attachment to the outcome.
