Hello,

It is commitment to my mental and emotional health that has kept me on this journey and a part of this very supportive and invaluable community. When the tsunami of fps of rage and despair are triggered in me primarily from experiences of perceived neglect and rejection it is my commitment to using my will to feel where this is in my body, look at my thoughts and act from a loving part that wants to connect with myself and others, give my gifts, share something with an open heart and appreciate and enjoy my life.

Love, Soula.

Anne H. I am in agreement with you. To know this community is here to help me with my spiritual growth is a blessing I am so grateful for. I know I was committed to attracting a spiritual community and am in awe by how the Universe is always there helping my fp’s recognize and understand TRUST on a different deeper level. Thank you Cathrine! We are on this exciting adventure of discovery of ourselves!

Catherine,

Yes, I love what you shared “It invites me to look at every moment as a beginning of my life, filled with possibility and joy.” I feel that for me also.

I think for me the fear around creating AP comes from it taking me into uncharted territory. I know first-hand that creating AP has brought me great joy, and still that fp around entering unfamiliar territory comes up. I so appreciate the reminder today to see it again for what it is.

Tim. Hi!! I’m not sure about it coming from a FP. My intention was to ask for the support of other people’s experiences. I am having the experience lately that as I try to confront my fp’s they are becoming stronger and I am not always able to confront them. I do indulge them but then I try again the next time. I believe that they stronger now than before and I don’t think that is a coincidence. But as Pam, Sundar and Catherine stated in a way… this is most likely perfect.

Thank you Rosalind for putting this so well. Fear of “uncharted territory”. This is such a good term for why I think I want to remain acting from fps and not choosing to grow. I definitely want to continue working with commitment to my spiritual growth by working to be in a state of beginner’s mind and to stretch myself by reaching with courage to respond from loving parts. Thank you so much!

Hi Beverly,
I noticed when I began looking at myself and my personality as loving parts and frightened parts, I started becoming more aware of a lot of moments that I was not aware of as FP or LP. I heard Gary speak about when we are aware of a FP, the Universe gives us the opportunity to keep bringing those triggers into our awareness until it no longer holds any power over us.
During the journey, a spiritual partner asked me why I had not been at a meeting. I replied because I had forgotten and apologized. In going deeper with my feelings, I realized that the surface FP’s that I that were the issue were all twigs of the same bigger branch of a larger frightend part that I was not aware of until that moment. This was an amazing realization for me.

Combining beginner’s mind, absence of judgment, and equality, here is a brief excerpt from an article in the Sept 2 issue of The Washington Post: “The wonderful part about mindful communication, and the scariest, is it’s a judgment-free zone. ‘Mindfulness communication involves listening with a beginner’s mind — without judgment, without interruption, and with total receptivity,’ says McLean. This means in conversation with others and ourselves, we’re committing to no longer seeing something as good or bad, right or wrong; we’re no longer seeing from a place of betterness or less than, but as an equal.”
The whole article is worth a read: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/inspired-life/wp/2015/09/02/how-to-communicate-like-a-buddhist-mindfully-and-without-judgment/
I am grateful that someone brought my attention to this article, which resonates for me with our discussion here.
Love, Catherine
