Hi spiritual partners,

If you have been following the ‘temptation and karma’ thread, you already know what this thread is about. If not, here is a quick summary from that thread.

As you must have already read in Gary’s Seat of the Soul, his definition of karma of the East or his statement of the Golden Rule of the West is: “You receive from the world what you give to the world.” (p. 40). Accordingly, Gary says: “Thinking a negative thought does not create karma. Acting on a negative thought does.” Thus, Gary appears to exclude ‘thoughts in one’s own mind’ from the definition of karma or the statement of the Golden Rule.

If you don’t mind, please share your thoughts on whether you personally agree or disagree with Gary’s above definition and explain why you do so. I believe that it will be highly educational if all of us pool our thoughts together on this critical issue.

As a starter, I will quote from what I wrote earlier in the ‘temptation and karma’ thread. Personally speaking, I prefer Gary’s approach. I do not think it necessary to include the internal effect of physical sensations such as bodily exhaustion in the dynamic of karma. I think that a physical sensation such as exhaustion is a fantastic signal that the Universe gives us in order for us to realize that a negative thought is occurring in our energy system and for us to attempt to recognize the fp that is trying to become active, so that we can address it inside our own system and not allow it to spill outside and have an external effect on others.

Thank you in advance.

With loving intentions,
Sundar
